Horse Rescue

October 30, 2005 - South Florida S.P.C.A Rescues Three Starving Horses From West Dade Ranch.

On the afternoon of Oct 30, 2005, we were asked to join forces with Metro-Dade police at a ranch in West Dade. Five horses were reported to be in very poor condition. When we arrived we found 1 horse dead, and a  second horse had to be euthanized because it was in such bad condition. The remaining three horses were transported  to the South Florida SPCA rescue ranch. Volunteers worked throughout the afternoon to carve quarters out of the wreckage caused by hurricane Wilma to house the three starving horses.  The horses are in extremely poor condition and are receiving medical care, proper food and water.  Click on any photo above for larger view.
