SPEAK OUT AGAINST HORSE THEFT AND BUTCHERY!
SPEAK OUT FOR JUSTICE!
ANTI-SLAUGHTER DEMONSTRATION
9:30 AM - TUESDAY, September 7
WHERE: SIDEWALK in front of:
Richard Gerstein Justice Building
1351 NW 12th Street
Miami, FL 33125
On September 7, defendants Luis Cordero and Santiago Cabrera, confessed horse slaughterers, will have their day in court – AGAIN! Let’s make sure that justice is served this time.
Justice delayed is justice denied. We have waited long enough for justice for our horses. Even criminals like Cordero and Cabrera are entitled to justice in this country, but victims deserve justice, too, and we have been denied too long as horses in our community continue to be butchered.
Our beloved horses cannot speak for themselves. You are their only voice. You are their only hope. Don’t let another horse owner open a stall door only to find carnage instead of their beloved pet. Don’t let another horse owner find the remains of their missing horse tied to a palm tree and butchered. Don’t let another innocent child be haunted by the sight of the remains of a dismembered, eviscerated horse. All these things and more have happened in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. It is an unthinkable, unimaginable and unacceptable continuing horror.
Join us as we send a message to the Justice System as well as the horse slaughterers and horse eaters in Florida – Not here, not now, not ever! No mas!
We want the world to know that in Florida we love our horses – every single one of them – and we won’t tolerate them being stolen, dismembered and butchered alive!
Please join us! We want to pack the sidewalk. We want to pack the court room. We want to send horse slaughterers packing off to prison the sooner the better!
We will provide signs to carry. You provide your presence and your voice. Be there to speak out for every horse that has been slaughtered, for every horse you have ever loved. This is your chance. This is their chance. Don’t let them down.
Check our website, www.helpthehorses.org for any late breaking developments. Pass this message on to everyone you know. Most of all, show up and be heard!
Sincerely,
Jeanette
