South Florida SPCA hosts two major events each year, A Day At The Races and Par For The Horse, which offer sponsorship opportunities for individuals and businesses. Par For The Horse 2016 is scheduled for Saturday, October 29 at Miami Shores Country Club, and we invite you to support our horses and rescue efforts by becoming a sponsor and/or participant at the event. When the SFSPCA rescues a horse, it takes a minimum of three to four months to rehabilitate and ready them for adoption (10-16 months for mares in foal). As they recover, often from malnutrition, abusive treatment and injuries, we provide our rescues with veterinary care, farrier services, training, proper nutrition and safe shelter. With your help, we are able to restore their health and trust, and give them permanent new homes with compassionate adopters. If you’re interested in sponsoring a horse, please email Kathleen Monahan at .
