South Florida SPCA Horse Rescue is delighted to announce its annual A DAY AT THE RACES will be held at Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino on Sunday, December 14, 2014. A festive atmosphere will prevail as guests enjoy a lavish buffet luncheon in a private area of Gulfstream’s signature restaurant Ten Palms and an exciting afternoon of horse racing, along with a chance to buy raffle tickets for fun prizes and to bid on incredible silent auction items. Over 400 guests are expected to attend.
TIME: Check-in begins 11:00am, first post at 12:35pm

No tickets will be sold at the door.

A Day at the Races will be emceed by WSVN-7 reporter Kevin Ozebek (pictured below) who became aware of SFSPCA’s work when covering the dramatic rescue of eight horses, mostly off-the-track Thoroughbreds, this past summer (video below).
Proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorships, silent auction and raffles benefit South Florida SPCA Horse Rescue, and a portion of the proceeds from race sponsorships will be donated to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF).
