FOUR STEPS TO BECOMING A VOLUNTEER
FOR THE SOUTH FLORIDA S.P.C.A.

STEP ONE		Join and become a member of the South Florida SPCA - Membership
STEP TWO		Register For one of the following classes: "Volunteer Orientation/Safety Class - Horse Care - Saturday" "Volunteer Orientation/Safety Class - Horse Care - Sunday." After selecting one of these two choices, the system will give you a complete description of the class and then give you an option at the bottom of the page, " I would like to volunteer for this organization ". Click this option and the system will prompt you for your information.
STEP THREE		Read and be familiar with the horse safety publications listed in the "SPCA LIBRARY" below
STEP FOUR		The following must be complete for you to be eligible to volunteer: You are a current member of the South Florida SPCA You have registered as a volunteer **You have attended an orientation class

After completing the steps above, you will become an "approved" volunteer and 'HORSE CARE' and other activities will become visible to you on our volunteer website, www.myvolunteerpage.com (If you are not an approved volunteer, these activities are hidden from you)

Signing up for Horse Care and Other Opportunities

Once you have completed the orientation/safety class, please go to myvolunteerpage.com and sign up for "Horse care" and other volunteer opportunities. This is our system for matching volunteers with the available positions.

Sign-up for your desired day. Please consult the example at the bottom of this page. Once you have confirmed your assignment, we will email you the information needed to access the "Approved Volunteer Area" link below which will contains the address, a map and directions to our rescue facility.

All volunteers are required to sign a release form before starting any volunteer work.

You Must be at least 12 Years of Age to Volunteer.

All Volunteers under the age of 15 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.

FOR APPROVED VOLUNTEERS ONLY

STEP 1		Go to www.myvolunteerpage.com
STEP 2		Enter your login name & password
STEP 3		Select the 'My Organizations tab'
STEP 4		Select 'Activity Signup'
STEP 5		Scroll down to 'Horse Care"
STEP 6		Select 'Stable Horse Care - Sundays'
STEP 7		Check the I am available box next to the day(s) that you wish to volunteer
STEP 8		Click 'Save' at the lower right hand corner of the screen
STEP 9		Click "Click Here to go to schedule page and confirm"
STEP 10		Click "Select all to confirm"
STEP 11		Click "Save"
STEP 12		Click OK when prompted "Perform Selected Save Action on all visible activities?"
STEP 13		You will now see the activity listed with a checkbox next to it which means you are signed up and confirmed.
STEP 14		IMPORTANT!! Now click the activity that you just confirmed. A "secret" info box opens with very important information.
