Smart Amanda Wiz

HIALEAH, FL – JULY 23, 2015: The shocking discovery of a three year-old Quarter Horse filly’s remains was made this morning at 9715 NW 138th Street in Hialeah. The butchered horse, Sweet Amanda Wiz, was found in a pasture at a facility that was once where South Florida Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SFSPCA) was based. SFSPCA director of ranch operations Laurie Waggoner is at the scene now.

“This was someone’s pet,” said Laurie Waggoner. “The horse was just a baby. Someone got onto the property, went to her stall, walked her out to the pasture, and butchered her alive.”
