After a citizen reported horses being kept in inhumane conditions to Miami Gardens Police, we seized former racehorse Hidden Fling along with two other horses on Saturday, October 7, 2017. All three were padlocked into their ramshackle stalls, deep with mud, with no drinkable water or edible feed. Fling arrived severely malnourished with a body condition score of a 1, the lowest on the scale, and with rotted and overgrown hooves.
Despite his poor condition upon arrival, Fling has made a wonderful recovery. He has a very friendly personality and is playful at turnout. We will by trying him under saddle and evaluating him for rider suitability soon.
