Katie had been abused and needs to be with a calm patient owner. She is very trusting once she gets to know you. She has Cushing’s Disease, that is successfully managed with Prascend. Katie bathes, cross-ties and stands for the farrier, and is broke to ride but green. We are currently lunging her to get her into shape, and will soon start her training under saddle.
RESCUE STORY: Katie was a victim of malnutrition, abandonment, and neglect. She was rescued with three others, including her bestie Kelso, on March 22, 2016.
If you are interested in adopting Katie, please first complete and submit the adoption application (link below). Once your application is received, we will get in touch with you about next steps. Our staff is always busy picking up new rescues, tending to sick or injured horses, and even testifying in cruelty cases, so it may take up to a few days to respond. Your patience is appreciated!
