Hi, I’m Little Dee!
Well, they’re calling me “Big Dee” around here lately because… I’m going to have a baby! And I’m so thankful that I’m here at the SFSPCA rescue ranch especially now, getting nutritious hay and feed, vet and farrier care, and tons of TLC. The place they saved me from is hard for me to even think about. Godiva and I were being fed bread in a horrible place where animals were being slaughtered all around us. We were terrified we would be next, and couldn’t escape the sickening smells and sounds. Our rescue made the local news, you can watch it HERE.
Now, I’m in a cozy stall next to the feed room and get lots of attention by everyone at the barn. My gal pal Nevada is next to me which makes me really happy. They didn’t know what kind of horse I was until I explained that I’m a Florida Cracker, and there aren’t many of our breed left. My baby is special to me, but extra special because we’re so rare with a very interesting history. I hope we’re special to you, too, and that you’ll sponsor me and my foal. I would love for you to be a part of our lives, especially during my baby’s birth!
