What a transformation! After a careful refeeding program and lots of TLC by staff and volunteers, Winter’s health was finally restored. She is a bit skittish and is a cribber, but with consistent and patient handling we believe she can develop a strong bond with an adopter. Winter has recently been assigned to our trainer Matt, so work under saddle should commence soon (June/July).
RESCUE STORY: Winter Alban has a story similar to many others in our care. We rescued her on 11/20/16, found abandoned and alone in the infamous 8.5/East Everglades, tied to a fence with no food or water.
If you are interested in adopting Winter, please first complete and submit the adoption application (link below). Once your application is received, we will get in touch with you about next steps. Our staff is always busy picking up new rescues, tending to sick or injured horses, and even testifying in cruelty cases, so it may take up to a few days to respond. Your patience is appreciated!
